a day in the life of a Mosaic Minds Learner
The Morning Start
Staggered Drop-off: 8:15–9:15 a.m. followed by stretch and movement to wake up bodies and minds.
Foundations: Children dive into two learning sessions typically focused on ELA and Math, separated by a guided movement break.
Refuel & Explore
Brain Break: A 30-minute morning recess leads into lunch and a short rest period for our youngest learners for executive balance.
Discovery: Afternoon sessions focus on hands-on tasks, puzzles, and experiments to learn Social Studies, History, and Science.
Growth & Community
Enrichment: Rotating blocks include music, art, gardening, and health. Afternoon recess ensures movement continues.
Connection: The day ends with school-wide ASL lessons, a session of reflection and discussion, followed by life skills tasks to wrap up with the day.
Note: The specific schedule varies depending on the age of the learners; a detailed plan is provided for every student.
